I just got my first Becker and I am really curious what mods this awesome community has come up with :D.
I am mainly interested in the DIY Mods You can also share your bought mods like micarta scales etc. but I am less interested in those since they either don't ship to the EU or cost twice as much to ship than they actually cost.
Examples of DIY mods: wooden scales, new coating/paint/epoxy and custom engravings.

Trailbum that tip looks absolutely radical! i will probably leave mine stock since that is probably the sturdiest.. and that is a custom micarta handle right? looks amazing man.. also.. since you have your signature set to fans of mora knives, which one is your favourite? i went with the Companion Heavy duty MG last year.. lost it since though so looking for a new one:)

Nope. You're not expected to know there's a long running mods thread, but if there's something you'd like to see, chances are people have posted it and you can find it with a search. And it's a weird distinction we sometimes make in here. On the one hand, there is no problem bumping and adding to one of the older, established "conglomerate" threads (Pictures thread, Modifications thread, knife-specific threads, etc.). However, bumping ancient random threads just to raise incidental points? Kind of frowned on.

The micarta handles are Kabar micarta.
I like the mora companion mg, and the heavy duty.
 
I'll put this one here, tho it's posted in the other thread. It's....a fairly low key mod ;).

I'm sure it's obvious....but this was (kinda still is) a BK-7.
 
"Low key" I barely recognized the bk7 in that one.. Beautiful mod man!

Thanks! I was just kidding, if you couldn't tell. I'm pretty proud of it. And it's sharp as hell with the convex, and the skull crusher/bottle opener works great on beer.....tho I haven't tested it on any skulls. Trying to avoid an accidental, self inflicted skull test.

As for your Tapatalk sig, I normally am pretty irritated by them.....but seeing yours in (what I assume is) Norwegian just makes me smile.

Thanks. No the blade profile is still the same. This is one of first 16s so maybe the profile is slightly different on the FFGs. These were released exclusively by SMKW before made available on the regular market. Also could be the camera angle. It's the only 16 I own so don't have a good comparison.
 
I love the profile of those older 16s. I've seen some guys here knock the spine back a bit on the newer FFGs to make it look more like the SMKW versions. Really cool mod in mine eye. Once I can clear some space in this God awful pig-sty of a shed of mine I'm going to set up my KO WS with its blade grinding attachment and have a crack at it. If it works out I'll post pics. If it doesn't it probably means I've lost fingers and can't type anymore..

Hey man, yeah the tapatalk thing is annoying me too. Im kind of new to tapatalk and this forum so I havent figured out how I disable it :(

fair enough, hesitant to change much about my bk9 since they go for 160 euros here :s lucky i got it for a little over 130 though
