.270. That was a cull buck from a horse ranch in Texas doing trophy management. I was asked to go out there and thin out does in late january - they went into rut again so we took out some 8 pts. I can't tell you how many times I had to let Bullwinkle go. :grumpy:

It's not the most recent picture (about 28 years ago), but I am already practicing survival skills;)

cool! do you always use the .270? or do you use different calibers? for deer that is. im planning my first deer hunt in utah later this year. im looking to buy a .300 wsm, but dont know anyone who has hunted with one.

I didnt have any high speed outdoorsy type photos, but I have a few of these. Im all the way to the left. This is from the big beach with no water.

in iraq. on mission, OLD school gerber multi tool, spyderco military, and green glock field knife. when off duty there, i carried just my red kershaw blur.

i tried many different combinations with poor results. tried carrying an old school kabar, old M3 trench knife in M6 milsco sheath, and my air force survival knife. they worked but, were either too bulky, too hard to clean afterwards, (slept in a lot of mud) and/or too hard to resheath in a hurry.

The assistant team sergeant carried a spec plus marine, the point man a spec plus sp15 L.S.A., the other radio man a microtech mini ums with green handle, the grenadier a basic gerber gator, and the team sergeant either an OLD school green plastic handled version of the buck 110, or a benchmade afo auto.

Here is a vintage photo of us boyz in the 'gone cat fishi'n mode' ..
