I've been trying for a long time to get a Backpacker. Got lucky because I happened to be in my email when a dealer notification arrived. Added a finger of mineral oil to the micarta, and need to paracord the sheath similarly. Compared with Pro Soldier.

This is my first CRK and my first real quality knife. I purchased from an online retailer sight unseen. I like box elder burl and embrace the variation, so knew I'd be good with however it looks and plan this to be an EDC anyhow, so not worried about it being a complete showstopper. That said, it's beautiful!

The knife looks way better in person than in any photos I can take; what look like black specks in the photos are light brown in person...stupid phone camera...LOL!

I don't know how far down the rabbit hole I might go, but I'm sure I will pick up more Mnandis and likely a small Sebenza at some point.

New Sandblasted Sebenza 31 w/silver hardware to pair up with the glass blasted Sebbie I got last week. Saw this beauty and just had to get it...nothing fancy but perfect example of how sometimes less is more.
