These four are my users. The rest of my collection are essentially safe queens. My edc Esee ss Izula gets abused the most.

The basic s30v PM2 impress me and I have to say the DLC coating is very resistant considering what it am putting the knife through

Question - does anyone abuse a manix 2 with maxamet?
After my test of the PM2 I start to think a manix 2 maxamet can also works fine for the same kind of tasks

I would be a little worried the maxamet would be a little too “hard” for tough work. I had a bad experience with ZDP-189 being too hard and chipping.
I think CPM-M4 would be a good option though. I have recently been using a Gayle Bradley 2 with M4 and have had great results.
Good enough that I just purchased a manix 2 in m4, should be in next week.

Maybe a cruwear pm2 or 3 would be a good option as well. Little more tough and not quite as hard as maxemet.

Just my thoughts on this little side topic.

These go back to a few of the first Spydercos I've ever owned. Still getting plenty of action. V-10 and 8Cr13MoV both holding their edge. A little corrosion on the Delica, but overall two of my most endearing blades!
