Post your rendezvous loot!

that one wharncliff blade there is SOOO wicked and pointy very cool, I was sorely tempted by that one !!!
Nice all, wish I had seen that small fixed blade you show there, that looks like a major useful knife!

Wow, Johnny Twoshoes-- you sure did choose an impressive variety of blades! You have a lot to look forward to with those.

Here's a pic of the Tidioute to tide you over for a year... ;)

Thanks! :)

^ Excellent pics P, some lovelies there (those Osh Kosh dungarees remind me of when my daughter was a young 'un! :D).

Something to this effect, perchance?

... The (Rendezvous) thing being, Blaine was going to show up in his sneakers and who-knows-what, and Charlie was going to wear his propeller beanie. I thought my grown-up hickory-striped Osh Kosh overalls and blue PF Flyers were just the ticket in such company. Then Blaine didn't make it :(, and Charlie located a propeller beanie but didn't wear it (saying, and I quote, "It's too small, so it would look silly").

I, however, followed through on Saturday, hickory-striped Osh Koshes and PF Flyers and all.

Before I learned that Blaine wasn't coming.

Er, ta da.

There's really a place called Pleasantville?! I LOVE that film! :D

Ah, I knew you were a man of discerning taste! It's one of my favorites as well.

Probably the neat part of the loot was being able to meet some of the people from the forums and to chat a brief while with Charlie....

Yes, indeed!

And on the more material side of things, I'm never shy about showing off these two beauties!!

Terrific pictures, Gary. Thanks for posting them here and elsewhere.

Sorry, no pics. I got a single blade sheepsfoot barlow from Charlie; pics of similar knife posted by some good photographers in this thread and others. Great knife! My first in the barlow series.

I also got my pick from 3 ivory Pembertons. Chris @ GEC pointed out the rarity of ivory on a Tidioute, rather than Northfield, and I like this shield that they use for short runs. One of G2's pics shows it, linked below. Thanks for taking those great pics, G2. Hope to meet you one time at a future Rendezvous or the Lewisburg knife show.

I regret not getting in the Blue PF Flyers!
There is a propeller beanie in the pic somewhere though . . .:o

And hats DO look silly when they are too small for you, Sarah! :grumpy:

Nice and yes, I'm sure I'll be at the Lewisburg show this Feb if they still have it on and I already plan to go back to GEC next year, gotta start hoarding funds now !!!

And Sarah, fetching in her Train Engineer overalls, very fashionable for sure!

Charlie, I saw that Beanie, man, if I only knew, I'd have had you pose with that on !!! that would have been epic !

Charlie really did bring a beanie? No way!

Sorry I wasn't able to make it after I thought I would. Like I told Sarah, an unfortunate scheduling of deadlines kept me homebound. My wife and I both work for the same (education-related) company, and July is our deadline month to have software and curriculum ready for testing for the next school year. We both have ended up working at home nights and weekends to get stuff done on time; while one of us works, the other takes care of kids, house, errands, etc. So, I ended up not being able to make any free time. From what I read on the forum, it looks like everyone had a really good time.

Please tell me where I can get one of the walnut sheepsfoot Barlows. I have to have one.
