Thanks to everyone in this sub forum who has whetted my appetite for sharpness. I've used several 'systems' to assist me in sharpening. But, I really yearned to sharpen freehand. Upon discovering the 'scandi' grind I put together an inexpensive setup similar to what old Jimbo wrote about on the web. That setup has evolved to this;

The pink is 3 micron and the white is 1 micron. The knife is the sharpest I've ever owned.
The knife cuts tissue paper but NOT easily. What is the next (inexpensive) step to get the blade to cutting tissue paper easily?
