Been carrying my CruWear Manix so much since I got it that my other Spydies were getting lonely...I sure do love me some CruWear though, so guess what I rolled with today...

They are thicker. The scales on the Superhawk has thicker scales and it feels better in the hand so I wanted that in the Superleaf

Agreed...the proportions are so good it would be almost be unspeakable to change them because they just look so right. I bought mine solely to try the CPM CruWear out. Very impressed with the steel...just today I used it to slice open 11 bags of concrete and slice the end off a bunch of the most heavy duty TyRaps to make a splint for our phone line which we accidentally snagged with the excavator (Broke the plastic jacket but none of the wires inside fortunately) and it still push cuts receipt paper. I had always thought the Military looked too big to be practical, and the tip down only clip didn't appeal to me (It still doesn't...I'd rather have tip up), but the ease of carry and ergonomics have more than sold me on the design. As has the grey G10...I was about 50/50 on the grey G10 when I bought it, but I really like it now. It cleans up perfect in no time with a Magic Eraser (I know from the pair of display Jesters I bought), but I've come to really like the grey G10, and I've also grown to like the colour/patina it develops including the blue it's absorbed from my jeans lol. I like the checker pattern of it's Manix cousin even more, and I've almost exclusively carried that one since I bought it.

That said...some of my other Spydies were getting lonely so I had to give them a chance. I normally pair a large Spydie with a small one (Military and Techno or Dragonfly for example), but I knew I'd be doing lots of cutting today so I brought 2 large Spydies with me (Shitty iPhone4 pictures instead of my Nikon this time).

I'm still new-ish to Spydercos, but when I saw this knife just now for the first time I simultaneously shat myself and threw my wallet at the screen. So I ran off to google..... And found out that they're discontinued.

I've never gone crazy over a Spyderco like this before. Why in hell did they discontinue this of all models?? What an amazing knife. Enjoy using it man!!
 
Picked this up in the Spyderco Factory Store in Golden.



I was looking for a G10 Manix 2 but they were out...imagine that...haha. Anyway, I chose the Persistance. I love this knife!!! I was looking for an under 3 inch blade to go along with the Manix2 and was steered away from the Delica4 after a few flips with the Persistance.

I must say the staff at the factory store were awesome to talk with!! They gave me some stickers too!!

I also took a photo of some choppers I saw in a case inside the store. Check them out!
