Post your Spyder Pics

^ Pics are too blurry!! Post up some better full shots! :D
...still think you should wave that Tuff! That channel just seems like it would catch on too much stuff when cutting.

Lot o' pics here. I got a lot of knives this week (some new, some old), and I need someplace to show them off.

First the modded ones I got back from Steve Ketchen. The Tuff is a project I've been working on for a little bit. Ever since I first saw it (upside down on a log), I've thought it looked rather steam-punk-ish. So this is my tribute to the genre. The Ti lockside is tinted bronze, which I may have to show later. But I messed up the anodizing on the other side of the pivot screw and I have to redo it. Steve's scale of gidgee completes the look really well.

The Southard scale was Steve's realization of an idea I had looking through his thread. I liked the look of the Juma, but I wanted a "inlay" look to it. The G10 laminate ended up giving some really neat contrast to the Juma itself, making for a beautiful scale that fits the black-out Southard really well.

The last group is my new Ti framelocks. I understand why the Military gets the love that it does. It went into the pocket immediately despite the fact that I had nowhere to go, except putter around the house. The Techno is everything it's cracked up to be. Super stoked to put it through its paces. Weirdly enough, I'm not sure I'm going to like the Slysz Bowie. It's super thin in the hand, making it feel really awkward in most grips. The knife itself is beautiful, but I'm not sure how I'll like it in daily use. For now, all three get to ride in my pockets. Bowie in the front right, Techno in the watch pocket, and Military in the back right pocket. :D

That steak looks awesome! Almost as rare as I like it, but I find that I like my beef less cooked than most people do. Also, compliments on the Chokwe...awesome and extremely underrated knife, and a cool looking display scale to boot.

Great new set! Congrats!!
After carrying my Slysz Bowie for the past couple of weeks now it has become my favorite EDC (favorite of my slicing blade EDCs). My techno still is my favorite utility blade. They make great complimentary set. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Of course the Military is awesome a well, but I consider the two Slysz knives to be truly exceptional pieces in my collection.

Thanks! I got the Military before the Slysz duo, and I think that's what messed me up. After handling the Bowie a little more, I'm starting to like it better. The Military fills the hand differently because it's so bulky. So it's just a matter of adjusting my grip to make the Bowie feel good in hand, too. I wish the lockup wasn't so late, to be honest, because it makes the forefinger grip point narrower than the rest of the knife. But I'll still give it time. :)

It has been awhile since I posted here, but thought I would share a picture of the Sage 2 that showed up at my house a couple days ago..
I was fortunate enough to win this incredible knife in a GAW from a very generous member, zeta33 ( Harris ). The Spyderco workmanship is extremely nice, and the knife is even nicer IMHO because he anodized the scales blue, before giving it away..

My wife's Squeak and my new Urban. I bought her the Squeak and was so impressed I wanted an Italian Spydie for myself. She asked me to sharpen it and apologized for using it so much! I thought it was great, looked like mine usually do.

wah!!! you're one of those 1,000-feet-above-ground dudes who makes us timid chickens wonder how much you're paid to do work like that! we don't doubt you love what you're doing though.

Yeah, I have a hard time even looking at that picture.
