A huge forest fire (the biggest in my country this year) started yesterday 20 miles from where we were having a nice evening. In Catalonia, Spain. The fire is still going uncontrolled as I write this.

I hate to sound ignorant,but what are the zip ties for?...Also,you live in
a beautiful place from what I can see....Hope the fire gets under control soon.

Those zip-ties will have similar function to an Emerson Wave. It will catch on your pocket when pulling it out and deploy the blade.

The ZipTie mod allows for quick opening of the blade when drawing it from the pocket. It imitates the Wave Feature designed by Ernest Emerson and used in his tactical folders. In his case, he did it to allow quick deployment in a self defense scenario. I use it when my hand is occupied holding a branch or vine and I am wearing gloves. This way I just take the knife out of my pocket and is already open.
