PM2, cold as ice ;)

I carried this same knife everyday in my front right pocket during Desert Shield/Storm. It never let me down. Great blade.

While Spyderco was in its infancy, that was about the best you could get back then in the 90’s! The POLICE Model was “tip-down only” which I believe is terrible tactically. Thank you for serving our country.

First responder here. Police Officer '90-'96. I carried the Police Model EDC.
You are 100% wrong about tip-down. You're welcome to your opinion. However claiming one tip orientation's more tactical than another is rediculous. We train to have our ammo mags in the same orientation always to prevent mishaps when it counts. Same for blade tip. That's tactical .

Oh, I agree with carrying spare magazines in the same orientation in pouches. “Under stress and in crisis, you will instinctively revert to the way that you train.” -Charles Remsberg. So if you mean if one usually carry’s “tip-down,” then stick with “tip-down” on all folding knives that one carrys, then I’m on board. With 21+ years in the same profession as yours, and also owning a Police Model back in the 90s, it’s merely MHO on carrying ”tip-up” vs “tip-down,” and a long debated topic on tactics. I suppose with Spyderco knives, it depends upon one’s preferred opening technique (ie.) thumb opening vs. the index finger flip. Nevertheless, this isn’t the proper thread for debate, so let’s just agree that we disagree.
