The Chokwe's gotta be one of the coolest-looking Spyderco knives ever. Hope it stays in production long enough for me to pick one up. Thanks for the pics!

Thanks man! I really hope they don't discontinue it anytime soon, it's such a wonderful design and doesn't get the attention it deserves.
 
I just made a Lockbar stabilizer out of g10 for the chokwe. I still have a bit out sanding to do but it remains as is for now.

Cleaned up, oiled, and sharpened today.

Also, I finally got rid of the o-ring I was using, after getting some Loctite for the clip screw.

Say, that looks like some nice work there! Will you still be using the pocket clip on it at the same time? When using it tip up, is there room for both?

Why thank you! There is still room for both but i used two of the screws for the stabilizer so i can't use the pocket clip right now. I have already asked spyderco if they will send me some more so hopefully i will get those soon. I'm really excited to see how the pocket clip completes the package.

Hey if you ever get a chokwe I would be more than happy to make you one if you don't have the supplies:)

Careful, I might just take you up on this! I've spent the last couple hours drooling over the Chokwe, and I think I'm gonna have to sell some stuff and get me one. Please do post some more pics when the screws come in. :thumbup:

My offer still stands:thumbup:. I think the stabilizer adds a lot to looks of the titanium, It looked kind of plain before. Good luck with your sales!
 
Here's a pic with just the one screw holding the clip on. I think it looks very nice with the black clip.

I also pulled the knife in and out of my pocket with the clip on and the stabilizer doesn't get in the way:thumbup:

Slick! That was actually gonna be my next question (if it snags on the way out). Yeah, I think it looks pretty cool on there. Almost like it came that way.

I was really worried it would snag so i rounded the corners off nicely. Unless you're wearing some crotch huggers, It's not gonna snag:D

Discovered the Manix a while back and am still totally in love with my new Manix 2 Lightweight. Absolutely fabulous knife. And quite attractive with the innovative handle scales.

Okay, rycen, that's officially the coolest knife pic I've seen in a while. I can't remember when I've seen such a large quantity of Kryptonite. :p
