I always try to photograph my knives before I put them into my pocket (i.e. "here is what it used to look like") but coming up with a suitable background for each is a challenge so many of them sit uncarried until the muse strikes. This summer, however, my house was robbed and among the electronics and jewelrey taken was a number of pieces from my knife collection. I had little to show the police or insurance company so basically, I burned (the knives made up the majority of the $$$ lost :grumpy
So, a couple of weeks ago I sat down with a white paper background and photographed the entire collection. Here are the Spydercos:
