OOOhhh...CTEK....!!!! THAT is handsome to a degree approaching indescribable...!!! Beautiful job and great pics!!! LOVE it!!!

Barman1...

Great set of Allen Putman anno'd aluminum scales...!

From the pic with the blade closed I THINK I'm seeing incomplete closure... AND I believe that has to do with the scales and back spacer being originally for an Endura. The Matriarch and the Endura do share the same liner sets however the back spacers differ. The back spacer for the Matriarch needs a deep scallop to accommodate the tip hook of the blade... other wise that hooked tip contacts the bottom of the back spacer. Just an observation...

Terrific looking Matriarch!

Terrific looking Matriarch!

I didn't notice how the blade looked when closed before I swapped scales so I have no comparison as to how much of the serrated edge would be exposed. I like the look though. Sort of like a doberman smiling. :D
I did mod the aluminum Putman back spacer by marking it against the original Matriarch spacer then routed it out with a high speed carbide bit and smoothed with a sanding bit. Matches perfectly and plenty of clearance. Touched it up with a black sharpie and it looks factory fresh.
And thank you for the compliment.

Edited to add a photo I found with the blade closed.
Looks to be the same on a stock Matriarch. Now I can stop thinking something was amiss.

I stand corrected... you did accommodate the back spacer for the hooked tip. So the serrations that are visible in you pic are NOT an indication of incomplete closure... AND I like your doberman analogy...!!!

Sorry I provided that bit of angst...!

It's a great looking Matriarch...!

Manix 2 S30V with Allen Putman OD scales, featherlight Ti low carry clip, and I think that's a Boker lanyard. A true frankenspydie. :D

Swapped the low clip with the Manix so put the blue carbon fiber clip I bought for the Manix on the Matriarch. Blue on the Manix. :barf:
