Post your Spyder Pics

Carried this one to the beach the last few times I went this summer. Been in the water and in a wet pocket for hours at a time. A little oil before I go, wash it out with fresh water when I get home and a little more oil. No rust :) I'd love a SALT UKPK though.

Yesterday I made my first attempt at stonewashing. I will do a few things differently next time but I am happy with it. I'm going to try and make a scale for it next, so wish me luck!

Thanks. I put a lot of work into it even though it's just an endura.

It shows, good job. Honestly the only thing keeping me from carrying the endura over the para or manix is handle material. I like frn when I carry on the job bc I need a light, durable "beater" blade that I don't worry about mucking up. Every other scenario I generally reach for the higher end materials like g10 etc. bc, well I think they make for an overall nicer blade. If spyderco sold the endura with micarta or g10 with a good stonewashing I think the competition with the rest of their line up would be quite stiff.

And that's precisely why I chose to mod that particular knife. I love the endura and have 4 of them. My "beater" knife is a reprofiled endura with the factory scales. I completely agree about the scale material. My non work knives are a pm2 and a Millie.

Inlaid Punisher Yojimbo scales... Predator Plate texture... needing just a bit of hand sanding and some finish oil...

Like my knives it isn't perfect because it's a user...few scratches and chips here and there, but it has character. 90,4xx miles currently. The motor is getting a little tired though, and I'd LOVE to drop an early 60's 327 Corvette motor with the mechanical fuel injection "Fuelie" heads into it if I can.

Loving the Caly Jr. and Superhawk...I think I'll carry my SE Superhawk and Caly Jr. tomorrow because they make such a great combo.

You mean Spyderhawk.... but I do enjoy the Superhawk as well with its CF handle. Be sure so post a picture from your beautiful backyard!
