I love the sks bayonets!! I have been meaning to try that since they are heavy and cheap. How do you like them?

Well I just got done stripping the finish on these, but I'm getting ready to use a fine scotchbrite pad, to get the light to pop off of it just right.

To use on stage.

Here's my paltry set of throwers.

Just got through sanding the florescent winter green off them so that I can repaint them florescent summer pink. Makes them easier to find in the weeds and grass.

What are we looking at zzyzzogeton ?

Some have handles like Condors and blades like Cold Steels and the Bowies I don't recognize at all? I do like the pointy-ness of those bowies!

I've been helping my son and family get moved. I promise to get pictures today even if they have to be taken indoors. Raining like crazy here and expected for 5 more days. Did someone order soft squishy targets?

Windwhistler,

The smaller ones are 12" (advertised - 11-7/8" actual) Angel Fire Heavy Talons (3/16" as opposed to the Regular Talons at 1/8") made of 1095. IIRC, the regulars also also came in 8" and 10" versions.

The Bowies are Angel Fire Bowies. 13-1/2" of 1095, patterned after the Western W49 Bowie (14-1/2"). The maker had modified an early (1992-1995) 1095CV Camillus Western W49 for his personal throwing Bowie . He used his modified version as the basis for creating these. Unfortunately, Angel Fire is no longer in business as he is taking an extended vacation at the expense of US taxpayers. If I ever want any more of these Bowies, I'm gonna have to make them myself.

I do too. I want more.

I'm still worse than a novice at throwing. Most of my throwing is at 2,3,4 and 5 meters, but goofing around with them I have stuck hits in a 24" round of sycamore at about 9 meters (4 spin), like 1 in 9 times on a good day. :D

I have them scanned and traced and working on learning the flowjet software so I can cut out a couple of sets at the techshop I go to.

Well, here they are again, in all their summer finery, which makes them easier to find when they go bouncing off into the weeds.
