Post your user blades

I seem to always be trying to find the perfect knife and I am glad I havent forund it yet because I Wouldnt have as many knives that way!!

Here are a few I beat around in the woods with. Planning on making a few others for myself down the road but I will stick with these right now. All are 0-1 steel.
4 1/2" Super Comapnion with Black G10 and red liners. 1/32" shy of 1/4" stock so she will take a beating for sure!!

Blue G-10 Black Liner

I think I will make a slightly larger version of this knife for myself down the road. a 6" version would be a great user I think for a do all sort of knife.

The Blue one was supposed to be a mate to my chopper. Maybe it wont sell at the Blade Show :)

And here is my go all kitchen knife. GREAT SHAPE FOR ANYTHING:thumbup:

It is one that I made, forged 1075 with blacklinen, and a Onscence tactical sheath.I'm not really happy with the handle shape but it work good and is a heck of a blade it is my primary user as far as fixed blades go.

here is a couple of quick pics I just took for a closer look

Looks like a fine woods knife..I like it. Gene

Love that super Companion Brian. Looks like a compact size but still beefy!

Its bigger than the size you had. Its the only one that size I have made so I am having quite a hard time letting it go.....I think its going to stay in the nest so to speak :)

Blgoode, that kitchen knife looks really good. What kinda steel and thickness is it?

Unfortunately I don't have a camera so I can't post photos of my knives, but I'll give a quick run down of them. Might be able to post pics at some stage if I can wrestle a camera off my sister.

All my knives are users, except for a Wenger Cyclist (found in a park) which I put away after reading on a SAK website that they were somewhat rare and prized by SAK collectors.

Folders:

Vic Classics - got a few of them, including a stayglow one on my keyring.
Vic Tinkers - got a few of them, an old red one and some new stayglow ones.
Vic Mountaineer - my oldest SAK, scissors come in very handy.
Vic One Hand Trekker - mostly stays in my car for emergency use, but also doubles as a folder in bush combos.
Vic Swisstool X - bloody good multitool, use it around my boat a fair bit.
Opinel #10 - great in the bush, often makes up a combo.
Opinel #8 - good size for general use, picnics etc.
Opinel #6 - gets carried when I need a knife but sheeple are a serious concern.
Okapi sheepsfoot slipjoint - very kindly given to me by fellow aussie forum member Myal, along with a few Ferro rods. Myal you are a top bloke.
Spyderco Delica - my edc, bloody useful little knife this one.
Spyderco Pacific Salt - my sailing knife, again extremely useful and easy to see in yellow.

Fized:

Fallkniven S1 - my primary bush knife, its been a great knife but soon to be replaced by an H1 in that role.
Frosts Mora Clippers - two in stainless, used as backups for my primary or when a lighter and/or thinner fixed blade is required.
Nieto - in 440C with a six inch blade, this is my general purpose fishing knife and works very well in that role.
Japanese fillet knife - 8" thin and flexible stainless blade, does its job well.

Choppers:

10" Tram - just got this one but its proving a real little beauty.
14" Tram bolo - great general purpose machete
Valiant Medium Survival Golok - just got this one as well and haven't used it yet, but its time is fast approaching. Will report back on my experiences.
Wetterlings hatchet - lovely little hatchet for around the camp, splitting kindling etc.
Bahco folding saw - fantastic bit of kit, came with a hardened tooth blade for dry wood and I've got a green wood blade as well.

its D2 1/8" thick and ground THIN THIN THIN :) WITH DISTAL TAPER

Brian is that chopper what you call the "Slayer"?

yeah thats the slayer. The buyer of the first one named it and it stuck I guess :) My blue one has a slighly longer blade and a wider belly :)

I got my Digi Camera out today & took some more pics of some of my EDC stuff :D ColdSteel ProLite,Rat3 SAK

Camillus Heat: Main EDC during the last 2 years. I would have no problem at all telling the cops it's a tool and not a weapon, it's obvious :)

I like the look of that Coldsteel ProLite bro !

Thanks, It's a real Brute ! Makes the Spyderco Wegner model look like a pup  I had a Wegner model & traded it for a Rat 7:D The CS is larger in all aspects than a Wegner model

Cybrok,

That coating comes off the RD7 pretty quick doesn't it. Mine looked just yours (even in the same spot) after the first time I took it out. Ended up just getting it stripped!

That is an awesome looking knife! Reminds me of the Nick's NWA knife. The black handles makes the red linear stand out nicely.

I talked about it with Justin and he said:
Sorry about the coating I don't know what is going on with that stuff. Sometimes it holds really well. Others .......well you see.

See it this way, it's an excuse to strip the blade, wich is pretty easy to do compared to Ontario's powder coating (my rat-3 was really hard to strip).

Cybrok,

Yep, I agree, just strip it off. I don't really see it as a problem, RD7 are not finesse knives and you can't complain about the cosmetics, considering how much knife you get for the money. One of the things that always surprises people when they handle mine is the edge (considering it is a prybar), mine is hair-popping sharp at the moment and it is easy to get it that way.

Yea, Mike's got both a Nessie and a Bushcrafter from me. Thanks Mike!

Hey t-knife, whats the knife 5th from the left in the top pic?
