With the head being so light I couldn't use my usual method of pounding the head down so I wound up hammering it through, hence all the peelback. But I figure with as narrow as the head is I can use all the extra stay-putness I can get my hands on. Only problem is it closed up the little bit of wedge kerf I had! Handle is still kind of a sore spot, it wasn't symmetrical, but it's real pretty wood. Trying to change it into a teardrop shape from a kidney bean... More pics when done.
It seems to pretty much boil down to the Baltimore being longer perpendicular to the blade. I think Jerseys look cooler and are better balanced but it's really hard to find a heavy one in good condition.
