Must be Danny. Either than or Johnny Cash has made an appearance... :footinmou

Ok, as you can see, I cut and sewed the belt loop at about half its original height.
Then, I slit and reduced the size of the awl loop.
This allows the frog to slide up higher and eliminate the laying over trick.

Just now I removed the awl loop altogether and just stuck the awl in between the two kardas.
It allowed an even higher ride for the frog and it seems secure enough.

Be sure to use plenty of glue and thread when you sew the belt loop closed. This beautiful rig is heavy.

The corona boxes are Takakos. She liked the beer and she liked the boxes.
She keeps canned goods in there..

Geeze, I guess I DO wear alot of black.
Hmmm...

Looks like you guys are stocked up on Equal too:)
Way off topic, but i've heard that women prefer Equal something like 2 to 1 over Sweet 'n Low in a taste test when they are allowed to see the packaging but there is no real preference when they are not allowed to see the packaging. Reason? Subconsciously more women would rather be thought of as "equal" to men (blue packaging) than held to the stereotype of being frilly (pink) and inferior and cute (Sweet n' Low). Marketing gurus have us eating out of their hands, don't they?
BTW, excellent sheath mod, Danny:) The kardas and awl are worth every penny of the asking price.
How did this shipment of awls come in? point or no point?

Personally Barb and I both prefer Splenda if we can't have the real stuff.:D

no point, but easily remedied.
Thanks Dan.
Im good with leather, but metal is a different story.
By the way, the kerambit fits in there too...

We use Splenda also. Doctor's orders. And to keep the cholesterol down, we use non-dairy creamer.

My wife has been out of town for the past week and won't be back until the weekend. So I got down the sugarbowl and bough a quart or cream for my coffee. As long as I get rid of the evidence before she gets back i should be OK. I'm going over to Sam's Club this afternoon and get one of those giant cheesecakes with the cherry goop on top. I'll have three days to finish it. I think I can do it.

just don't think you can binge on Haagen Daz any more. It's not the same- owned by Nestles I think.

Good luck on your cheesecake. ARe you a donut fan by any chance?

Not really a fan, more like a recovering addict.

So far I have been able to resist the Krispy Kreme shops that have recently sprouted up all around here. Albertson's super marker sells them and I did yield to temptation a couple of times, but that's not the same as getting them while they are still warm.

Maybe on the way to Sam's this afternoon I'll make a little detour. I really don't want to do it, but now that the idea has been planted, I can't help myself.

Help me Jesus!!!

mmmm....donuts.....

I've only found 2 places in all my travels to make acceptable donuts, though....:(

Forget Krispy Kremes, Duncan, Grocery-store places, etc.....I'm talking about the real deal, homemade, handmade from real dough (no preservatives), gone-before-8AM type bakeries. I have been on a quest to find them and lament their apparent demise....:(

(I guess I'm a donut snob.... )

"But my lord" I said, "He did not use flash powder, but his feet! They were just blinding!"

I didn't buy it. There were 12 pieces in the box. Each piece was 500 calories, 300 from fat. I passed it up. They didn't have the cherry kind anyway.

But, I bought a pumpkin pie, and a box of 50 frozen mini-eclairs, and a portable starter-powersupply-tire inflator. I don't know if it's any good or not, but I've wanted one ever since I saw the tow truck guy start my neighbors car with one. I figure it might be useful to have in my truck in case the camper runs the battery down.

On the way out, I got drawn into the snack bar and bought a giant slice of greasy cheese pizza, a huge vanilla coke, and a 12 oz. cup of ice cream. I was sitting there stuffing my face watching all the disgustingly obese people lined up to get even fatter, when I caught my reflection in the window. I suddenly realized I was the fattest one there.

I finished my pizza, sucked down the coke, and left with the ice cream. I took it home and put it in the freezer. I've been home for a couple of hours now and the pizza has settled. I think I'll try a piece of the pumpkin pie while I wait for the mini-eclairs to thaw out.

Ben - They are better still frozen.

Danny - Here's my favorite!

My wife's Birthday was the 12th, so I got her a cake: specifically a 4.5 pound cheesecake from Costco.

WOW!! That arrived fast!!

Seen on local t-shirt:

I'll wear black until they find something darker! :D

That is not an optical illusion: MY bloodwood kerambit is actually in the sheath of the YCS behind the other by-knives.
It actually fits and stays put well.
Funny, but true.

Mamav, I am not sure this YCS is the one you were talking about.
I think there may have been a mix-up. (ooops)
I got a bloodwood YCS in a black sheath.
Didnt you say you had a Purpleheart YCS in a red sheath ?
I have already modified the sheath a tiny bit, but I'll send it to whomever this one belongs to if there was indeed a mixup.

I want to say it one more time though : The YCS is the nicest khukuri I have ever seen out of HI. It's the best deal ever.
