You would think I've been around here long enough to figure this out but........ :grumpy:

Say for instance I post a pic in a thread on shop talk. Now I want to go to the customs forum and post the same pic. What is the best way to go about doing something like that ? In the past it would flag me saying something like "this image is already being used" or something like that (I can't remember the exact phrase).

How do you guys manage your attachment for posting the same image in multiple threads ?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm having a major brain fart on this issue and could use some help.

HELP !!!

Looks like you have your own website. Do you store your pics there, or do you use Bladeforums attachment system? I keep my pics on my website server, and just copy the links when I need them.

I do the same as Phillip. I have a website thats like 8$ per year and I could NEVER fill it up. I just upload the pics using dreamweaver, then can link them on any site any number of times.

If you right click on image and copy image location in first post, you can right click and paste image in another thread.

I use IPSwitch to upload stuff to my server. It's very user friendly, and not too expensive.
I wanted to get Dreamweaver, but I saw how much it cost.

Yeah I acquired the full Dreamweaver suite with every addon and plugin, but only use about 1% of its functionality...I don't even remember where I got it originally. I think through work at some point. If I lost it, i'd just go to one of the freeware open source hosting apps that are all over the place.

I use photobucket to upload pictures I want to use of forums. It's simple to use and doesn't cost a cent.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the tips

I think something like Don suggests is what I was looking for.

I thought about creating a page on my site just for linking purposes and posting but would rather keep it as simple and manageable as I can, at least for a minute ;) My first attempt at a website turned into a real mess

I also use the hosting here at BF but it fills up fast..

Yeah, Thats for sure  My initial question (although not perfectly clear) was addressing the BF hosting. I was hoping for some kind of trick or tip that would avoid using my site, photo-bucket or the like.

Thanks again for your help guys
