I'm thinking that a bushcraft style pouch sheath would be good for my CABS. Does anybody have pics of their ABS in a pouch sheath?

my pleasure good sir.

leatherman low ride randall pouch (originally cut for a cg boss street, but fits this one better):

Till I can get Dwayne to make something, I'm just using a JRE sheath that I got with another knife. Works well though.

That's exactly what I am looking to get from him as well. Very nice!:cool:

thx! i have lost count of my leatherman sheaths, but i remember emailing back and forth a few times on this one.

i prefer the pouch style over the snap style. i'm more comfortable with the retention, always worried that the strap will unsnap by accident. not that i carry my fixed blades much anymore, but still.

i wanted a not-too low ride, but not his regular mid ride.

i explained my rather ambiguous requirements, and i'm very pleased with his results.

not sure if it is a bushcrafter sheath, though.

I appreciate all the kind words and recommendations guys! :)

It means a lot to me, thank y'all.

I have a loaner ABS heading to me shortly.

btw Guyon, your getting a sheath named after you, if that ok with you. I keep getting inquiries about the Guyon Special. Kinda has a nice ring to it.

Here's one I made that I'm planning to giveaway in a couple of days after I get it finished:

certainly not a knock on other leatherbenders, there are many very good ones around.

but i think the pucketts are the best.

Thanks, Dwayne. Very cool.

Which of your designs are people referring to? The design in the first pic?

Pictures of those sheaths have claimed a lot of bandwidth here. :D

I like that one, the way you rounded off the bottom looks very nice. I've always disliked pointy bottomed pouch sheaths, well done! Someone's going to be a lucky hog. :D

Thats the one! Henceforth to be known as the Guyon Special. :) Or if you can think of a better name just let me know before we update the site. You've got a lot of my leather!

As a favor, the only thing I ask is that "The" is in there.

I can explain via PM. :p

Guy, I see you down there. Sorry to hijack this thread. :p

FWIW, I think I'm going with a sheath similar to the one on my ABA. I just want that extra piece of mind offered by the keeper strap.

I recently got one of Ray Laconico's bushcraft blades, and it came with a very deep carry pouch sheath. Are you considering something like this?

"The Guyon Special" it is! :D :D :D

Now we've gotta figure one out for Mark, every time I see the name I think of the Iron Chef. There has to be an M&M connection...... :p

No worries, don't mind the digression; it is the way of things here.

Of three pouch styles pictured so far, I prefer the two that Guyon has posted, as they are just a little deeper. The one made by safetyman is the best looking one of the three, however.

Dwayne, do you have plans to make a simple machine-sewn pouch when you get the loaner ABS? With a rounded off bottom, of course.

Keep 'em coming. Anybody else have something to show?

Here's another one I got from Dwayne a while back. It sat around for a long time before I finally found a good use for it. After I got a custom Recluse from Andy, I boned this sheath to fit it. Fits great with some nice retention.

Thanks Leatherman :). Maybe one day I reach your level of sheathmaking ;).

mmmmmmmm, M&M's, the pretzel commercial still cracks me up. :)

Yes! I have a couple done already for the CG BOSS Street, but I want to make sure they fit the Anorexic version well before I commit to more.

Your very welcome. :D

Here is one for my Boss street I stitched up the other day. Deep pouch sheath, with H strap set up (rough side out, which may not have been the most aesthetically pleasing after I bees waxed then atom waxed it). I need to make up a hot bees wax/oil mix to get a nice yellow tanish color. I like natural leather, but the leather from Tandy has a particular color, and I don't really want to die it. Just make it mellow golden/yellowish.
