Is the powder coat on the Busse blades safe to eat? I noticed the powder coat my #5 comes off fairly easily and will likely be consumed if the blade is used on food.

One of the first things I did with the Basic was bite the blade to see if the coating would be removed, it did. I am still here. I would assume that such small quantities it would not do you in. You might want to ask Walt Welch about it.
