Now my question is this. Has anyone built anything like this before on here and if so does it work well? I have alot of things to put together so I will not have a chance to do this one for some time. I still got to build a forge, get an anvil, power hammer built, disc grinder put together, and then maybe I can look at some steel to make a knife with. lol

You can pick up a Milwaukee Port-a-band for almost nothing at a pawn shop. HF sells their version cheap.too. I don't see why anyone would go to all that trouble and expense to make something that can be bought for less.I took a $5 (Yard sale) Port-a-band and mounted it upright, with a MDF cutting table and use it for cutting small items like pins, tangs, etc.
