posting frm my phone again.

For anyone concerned, seems like we weathered the storm okay, no power, lost 3 fence sections and a window.

got gas, lots of propane, lanterns and stoves and more food than THIS emergency needs.

But it's pretty damned hard to run my coote!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone else in CA affected? Lou, yall okay? mike? etc.

Good luck Chris! You gotta get a buddy on a bicycle with a V belt pulley for the rear tire!

I hope its not to bad out there, my sister lives there in Stockton CA. Maybe I need to call her. Hope your lights get back on. Thanks for letting know this.

No power up here in the sierras since 6:30 AM yesterday. Generator been running for about 10 hrs. We don't have enough squeeky wheels up here. Maybe it will get fixed today. Heck with it, I'm spending the day in Auburn.

Wind blew pretty hard here yesterday too. Didn't lose power, but I did have one of my patio awnings collapse. The wife and I were out in the dark, wind and rain last night putting it back up. That was an interesting exercise in what it takes for two people to open a parachute-like device in a hurricane. We couldn't just leave it down until the wind died down, because the poles and supports were going to tear the fabric.

The neighbors probably thought we were the "keystone cops" reincarnated. For those of you that aren't old enough to remember the keystone cops, think "three stooges". For those of you that aren't old enough to remember the "three stooges", well....you've missed a lot of great comedy from the past.

sorry to hear about that. kinda sounds like the ice storm we had a few weeks ago.

you could practice forging though

The storm tore my patio roof up pretty bad, a section of fence and blew over a lot of bushes and trees. Down the street 3 power poles snapped (the big fat ones!) about half way up so we lost power for about 2 hours (of course the power came back on right when I got out the generator) it's amazing those guys can get all of that stuff fixed in a couple of hours! Winds were only about 65-70 mph, I can't imagine being in a hurricane!

we got a bunch of snow and power. chris i can send you some power i have a bunch of extenchen cords.
