Powerlock scissors

Got a used powerlock with missing scissor spring. Are these prone to breakage? Is it worth while to replace it? Thanks
 
Check in with SOG. They may replace it for you. Me I'm not a big fan of any of the scissors I've used on any makers multi-tool, the SOG ones tend to be a little more robust than others.
 
the spring on mine was pretty easy to remove, so I'm not surprised to hear its missing. replacements should be available. small scissors without springs drive me insane.
 
I contacted SOG for just a replacement spring. They sent me a spring and spring holder and new scissors!!
