Does anyone have a SOG Powerlock and a Leatherman Super Tool 200? I currently have the Leatherman, and while I've had many different multitools in the past, including several SOG models, I've yet to try the Powerlock.

Just curious as to how they compare, strengths and weaknesses, etc.

BTW Ron, how 'bout the new 350Z?! A guy that works across the street from my office has one. Wow!

Thanks,
Clay

Hey Clay,

I'm sure there will be some forumites coming into compare for you soon enough! :)

I've been drooling over the new Z quite a bit! I'll not be moving up to the one, but I'm drooling, none-the-less!

There was a guy back then, maybe pahl [Update: not pahl, im2smrt4u], who got himself a powerlock and kinda made a comparison with the Wave and Supertool, but I'm not sure if it was the 200
I was very sure that whomever it was, he's very impressed by the Powerlock's performance.

I have a SOG PowerLock, but although I don't have the new Supertool 200, I do have the "older" Supertool. I like the PowerLock alot better. It is larger, and sturdier. Also, I don't know about the Supertool, but with the PowerLock, I can easily change some of the tools if I want to. And the PowerLock is SMOOTH.

Hey! Yous stole my thread title! :p

I wanted to know the same thing as you, so I bought both! I have the Powerlock and the Supertool 200.

The short answer is if you are only going to get one, buy the Powerlock. The Supertool is nice, but the Powerlock is even better!

In truth, I actually carry them both at once in a double magazing holder!

Thanks guys! I think I'm gonna see if someone has a Powerlock to trade. The Super Tool 200 that I have is really nice, fit and finish are great, but I've always been attracted to the SOG's since I bought my first Power Plier many years ago.

Best regards,
Clay

Hey im2smrt4u, where did you get your double mag holder and does it have a name? I'd sort of like to get a setup like that to carry a SOG Multitool and a Large Lockback (SOG Tomcat II or Buck 110). Thanks,

Can't beat that compound leverage!!!!! Go with the powerlock!!!!

The new Z is ok but I think I'll stick with American muscle! We are pulling off low 12's in our stock except for a k&n Camaro Z28. 5.2 0-60 and still getting 23 miles per gallon at Colorado elevation (wonder what she'll do at sea level?)!!!

The true king of the road though is the Z06 Vett. For a price in the low $50,000 you get an American car the will do 0-60 in 3.9 sec and will out perform most if not all cars priced over $250,000!!! Lamborghini, Ferrari, Lotus, most Saleens, you name it the Z06 will beat it at any price! One day I'll have one in the ol' garage. You just gotta love fast cars! Untill then see ya in my rear view!:p :D ;) :)

I have the SPEC-OPS Super Sheath Duplex. 1SKS stocks it for a few bucks less than the manufacturer.
