In keeping along the same lines as Don Rearic's WICK (Wound Immediate Closure Kit), something else people should keep on them is personal protective equipment or PPE as its commonly called amongst ER/EMT/LEO types. Basically, gear to keep other persons blood/bodily fluids off your skin/cuts/mucous membranes etc.

so here is the PPK or Personal Protective Kit. Small enough to tuck into a pocket, light enough to not notice it, and geared to cover the basics (preventing blood/bodily fluids contact when assisting or providing first aid.)

- 3 pair of Nitrile gloves
- one way Microshield mouth barrier mask (disposable) (to prevent
saliva. blood, vomit etc from entering your mouth when performing
mouth to mouth resuscitation)
- 12 alcohol wipes
- 12 antiseptic towelettes with Benzalkonium Chloride for wiping
down your hands/forearms
- 1 biohazardous waste baggie for putting soiled gloves and packing
into afterwards.

everything stored in a waterproof ALOSAK

^ sure! i have'nt used such products so i cant comment on them, but i know J Williams or others might be able to give a synopsis.....

I would like to find a good supplier for the rectangular, self-adhesive anti-viral masks. Much like Dermabond, I'm not really interested in, nor can I afford, to purchase one hundred of them. 8-)

I have one of the old Blowout Kits with the nitrile gloves and various and sundry other trauma items in it. Because of lawsuits, I'm not likely to render too much aid to strangers and my friends and family are known to me so this is not a terrible concern. Yet, you never know. If I were in a situation so dire, like some type of social calamity where the threat of lawsuit really wouldn't matter anymore, I would be hard pressed to walk away from a child, for example, that needed help on the street. More likely to give aid to someone in a state park, etc.

Those ALOKSOK bags are handy things!
