“Practical” field knife for guys who travel light but need something stouter than a folder. 5/32” thick, cpm3v blade, 9” overall length. Olive drab “camo” G10 scales with .080 black G10 spacer material. Mounted with flared ¼” s.s. tubes and West Systems G-Flex epoxy.
Extra fine glass bead finish. This is not a short cut finish, the beads are extremely fine and require the blade to have a consistent 400 grit finish minimum before blasting. The result is much more subtle than most blasted finishes, non-reflective but closer to satin than matte, and the texture is indiscernible to the naked eye.

9” OAL
4.25” blade, .170” thick cpm3v, flat ground
OD camo G10 scales with black G10 spacer/liner
OD green Kydex sheath with buyer’s choice of large Tek-Lok or small Molle Lok. Will also come with my pre-tensioned QD clip to match the sheath. This clip works great for IWB carry and offers other carry options as well.
Knife weight: 6.1 oz
Sheath weight: 1.5 oz. w/o attachment

Sold plus shipping & insurance, Paypal accepted.

Very nice work Justin! I really like this design and the materials you used.
Looking hard at this one.

Very nice design and attention to detail.

I especially like the vertical drain hole you molded into the sheath. Very innovative!

Nice pattern for sure, looks like it would handle really nice.

I like the pronounced first finger guard. I prefer a solid purchase like that on pretty much any fixed bigger than 3" blade.

Thanks again for the kind words. Every once in a while, there is a knife that some sneaky part of me hopes won't sell, so I can keep it. More and more, it seems like that is the only way I can afford my own product. This is one of those knives. Gots to get me one of these...

I think you would be very safe making more of this pattern...if it wasn't out of my budget right now I would have snagged it. It covers a nice bit of ground in it's design. It's a great overall user field knife.

I appreciate the feedback. You can expect to see more in the future, my pricing on this piece was hopeful of a run with waterjet-cut blanks.

I purchased a slightly different Practical Field Knife from Justin based on this thread. I couldn't be happier!

Justin was extremely patient with my many questions. He answered everyone one of my inquiries with a great deal of thought and detail.

Specs on my JK Practical Field Knife:
8.75” OAL
4.125” blade, .170” thick cpm3v, flat ground
Blue/Black G10 scales with black G10 spacer/liner
Black Concealex sheath with large Tek-Lok. It will also come with Justin's pre-tensioned QD clip to match the sheath. This clip works for IWB carry and offers other carry options as well.
Knife weight: 5.8 oz
Knife plus Sheath weight: 9.3 oz. w/ Tek-Lok attachment

The knife feels just great in my hand. It is practical, but beautiful.
