For those who remember me AKA: RHankins (or want to remember) have been off the grid for about three years or so. Well after much kicking myself in the behiind finaly got into the shop and made a blade.

Man am I out of practice...Next few will be better.
5160 W/G10 HT finish on the unground areas
Thanks for looking... Enjoy!

Thanks
There are better ones on the way...
Yes it is a hidden tang that runs to within 1/2" of the end of the handle and is 5/8" wide. plenty strong.
That puts the balance point right at the index finger, makes the blade feel lighter than it is.

WOW! I think it looks great. Judging on where you put the balance... I'd fight with it! :D

Welcome back! I did the same thing, took three years off, and it paid dividends. Looks like it worked for you too. :D Very nice knife; it sure doesn't need any humility from you! I looks powder coated or something? What's the finish? Beautiful grinding.

Handle is made from all G10. Did a 3/8" thick guard and then two 1/2" pieces of G10.
Milled out for the tang on both sides. Pieces have to fit up perfectly to make the seams go away. Looks like one solid piece when done and is plenty strong.
Hence the ability to get such a wide strong tang:thumbup:

Heck yeah ! I remember ya, and I always liked your work.

Boy it doesn't take long at all to get rusty, especially on the grinder.

But this knife looks great, the next ones will be nothing short of amazing !
No doubt in my mind ;)

Welcome back !
