Just received the above knife from Matt Bailey. Wow, is not enough, Holy WOW, is not even close. I own many knives but this knife stands out as well as any I have recently purchased. 2014 I purchased over 500 Knives, and as of early 2015, The San-Mai-Pocket above set a standard that is etched in my mind.
I also want to point the following out. In my haste to FINALLY get my hands on a "Bailey" I rushed the deal, and I did not clearly read the post. 100 % MY error. ( the sheath is made for right side pocket) When I contacted Matt seeking assistance, all the time EXPECTING to pay for my error, which is the only way it should be, he made several suggestions. All FAR BEYOND what he should have done. WHAT !!!! a knife-maker and a gentleman ??? I was floored, excited , astounded, lost for words and filled with joy. I wish to also add this. The knife is 100% custom, the sheath is made in-house and is excellent, last a life-time and the price was beyond fair. In a forum where makers charge $400 for knives made from blanks and pre cut scales, I own a custom, 100% made by Matt for just over half that price. I can not stress my liking of the knife and highly recommend Matt to anyone who wants a great knife at a feel good price. Matt Bailey exceeded my dreams and builds one heck of a knife.
