Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammo! I Found My Lost Buck 110 BG-42!

Well, my overdue BCCI BG-42/G10/Micarta 110 showed up last night - UPS delivered it at 6 PM!
And, Thursday evening saw me finding two pair of readers within seconds... as I watched Auburn getting routed by WVU on the tube. I heard a crunch in my recliner, reached down to find a mortally wounded pair... stood up, dropping another pair on the floor and stepped on them. Two pair found - and trashed within seconds! Back to the 'Dollar Store' today..
Hey, at least I have a sweet replacement for that original knife. The MIA knives remain on my list...

why bless your pea picking sole!
i dont feel so bad now!
hate that crunch sound my self ...

I have to ask. Has your fleece been on your computer chair since last winter? My wife would not leave my jacket on the computer chair for an hour no less a year or so.

I did miss place my 110. But it was not in a jacket. It was in a bag in the basement. How did it get there? It was in it's leather sheath the whole time. At least a year. Maybe more. I had some cleaning and oiling to do. But she is OK. Just needs a good sharpening. I just need to get a decent sharpener.

I guess in my several year hiatus from here I missed "the Custom Shop mess." I'll assume that's why it's no longer called "Pete's Custom Knife Shop" (PCKS) - which I believe is not in reference to the current Pete that seems to be the gent in CS that has been taking all my orders lately. Someone can please feel free (or not) to fill me in via PM on all that went down - if you like.

The "custom shop mess" that I'm aware of was a glitch in Buck's web that doubled or tripled prices on blades and scales. So you build a custom 110 online and the price came to $700! LOL.

I've not seen my Buck 321 in over two years and had about forgotten about it. Today I was cleaning out the console of the LR and found it under a pile of pens. Thank you St. Anthony.

I must admit that it was! I have no wife to police me. :D

Re: pics - I tried to get a pic of the "new" knife with my scanner, but it's blurry (what do you expect from a scanner I got in 2002 for $20?). If I can get my hands on a digital camera, I'll see what I can do. Until then, imagine an Idaho-made Buck 110 that's been carried around and used for a few years, with a one armed bandit on a BG-42 blade that's had the crap scratched out of both from use and from less-than-careful sharpening.
