I feel for you. My condolences. My Mother passed before my Dad from cancer. After that, I really didn't much care about going home to visit any more as my Dad later married another women. I visited about once a year after her death. Just didn't feel welcome anymore in the house I grew up in. Before that, it was every few months and lots of telephone calls. It was about a 500 mile drive to visit.
