yes, please do...

you see, i lost/misplaced my camera at blade 05. bad deal. so i have been selling a couple of my collection knives to fund a new camera.

i search PigBay every day looking for a camera to buy.

while searching the other day i accidently stumbled upon the word "swamp" saved in my Pbay search field.

well to make a long story longer i clicked on it.... bad deal...

up came this unidentifiable knife. mutant busse or rat, i don't know?

anyhow i bid on it ($26.00 american) and it showed up today.

i have never seen one like this before :confused: :confused:

any knowledgable swine out there know what this is?

ps: pray for me, my wife is going to kick my ass when she finds out i accidently bid and won this blade.

maybe the right thing to do is to give it to mrs. skunk....

Skunk,,

I think that one is called a Desert Rat, I've seen a few others like it,,not sure about the name though, it's a very nice looking knife,, Looks like the standard EU-17's. :eek:
 
naw,, it's not a EU, dont even have a talon hole, plus that blade grind isnt the same as the EU's, the handle looks the same as the EU.

I beleve you got yourself a Desert Rat there Skunk,,

I dont have any of my EU's here at my shop to look at,,,but i believe that those handles are diffrent also.

nope, i don't think so, i went to the rat hole and looked at a desert jack pic, it had a rear tail with a hole in it :confused:

Maybe it's a proto/custom variant or something?

EDIT: If it is a real srkw/ busse then $26 is a pretty damn great price! :D
 
a canadian collector just emailed me and said he has seen this style being carried by the canadian mounted police, maybe it's a special military run :confused:
 
Good eye. Except for the difference in the butt, it looks identical to the SWKW Desert Jack. The DJ's that were released to the public were a military overrun, so who knows. Maybe they ran two different versions for two different contracts. The ones with the lanyard hole were going to some place sandy. I would imagine that a lanyard wouldn't be needed in the Great White North - the knife just freezes to your hand. ;-)
 
Hey Stinky, I want to help you out with the wife and the camera... so I will pay you DOUBLE the $26- for the knife if you send it to me.

I don't mind taking one for the team! :D
 
went to the Swampshack and looked through all the pics there too,, :eek: :eek:
but still didnt find one like that one :grumpy: it's defenitly not the Desert rat that i thought it was earlier :confused:

just dont tell Vicky you bought it,,just pack it up and send it to me and I'll give you your money back that you paid for it :cool: she'll never have to know anything about it. :eek:

I am confused though. I search ebay daily for Busse's and rats but never saw this one....And you won it for 26 bucks!

Its a SAR Rat I think? Not sure, none of the Rat Jacks have a double cut spine. ERIC!? Where ya hidin' ???
