Pray for Skunk

Nice score Mr. Skunk Digger! I do that too sometimes. Bid on something, figure you're going to be outbid, then win it. Ooops.

Cheers,
BJB :D

the SAR Rat has a shorter blade than this one, but the handle is the same

SAR blade is 4 1/2 inches long and 1'4 thick .

Ah-ha - a DC spine. Makes me think someone cut the rear off of a DJ and blasted the rest of the spine to hide the handy work. Do I win?

Wheres The Fosters? that is probably the answer, a drunken bunch of rats messed up and forgot what they were working on and combined the features of a few knives, just call it a "Swamp Thing".

Comparing my Desert Rat to it, looks like you are exactly right.

Kinda like it. No really like it. Wouldn't mind having the lanyard hole remomed from mine, but would want to restore the desert coating.

Really nice score. I'm green with envy :p

Here’s a picture of the Desert Jack. Whatever you have there is close to this one except for the handle, though I wonder if mine has the same blade length or longer??

Btw, I’ve not seen the post and rail fencing like you have before..is it sold in kit form with the turned down rails and drilled posts?

a canadian collector just emailed me and said he has seen this style being carried by the canadian mounted police, maybe it's a special military run

The RCMP? Why would the Canadian government buy blades with desert tan finishes?

ian, yes, a lot of fencing here is made from lodgepole pine, people make it, pressure treat it and sell it by the foot. rails are 8 foot long and you can buy it drilled for 3 or four rails.

peter, some times the rmcp will chase their suspects down into the montana plains, these are the knives they take when they go "out of country"

Or they could just use them in the prairies. :D

i guess a lot of them decide to live there once they see the country, i think they must have put this knife up on ebay to fund thier new home.
