And now, Grandfather, I ask you to bless

the Fat Men.

He needs your Wisdom, your guidance.

You see, for so long,

he has tried to eat my people,

and only feels comfortable

when given seconds.

Bless them, show them the pies we made,

teach them lo-carbo.

For I fear they will someday eat themselves

and their children,

As they have done to Aunt Jemima.

I eat, I eat some more.

After all, They are my donuts......

Hey Danny, I'm somewhat surprised. The Asian culture is known for it's slender physiques, at least compared to Americans, and with the exception of Sumo wrestlers.

If no longer true, then I'm willing to bet that Asians may not be as thin as they once were since the export of American eating habits (McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Dunkin' Doughnuts, etc.)

True?

Maybe there's a reason his name is DannyInJapan, and not DannyIsJapanese

Maybe a name change to 'DannyIsAmericanButInJapan' would be more meaningful.

hehehe:p

That would explain a lot. Guess we'll have to wait for Danny to show up, and see if he cares to reveal his nationality. :)

I am from Dallas Texas.
I am 6'2".
I moved to Japan three years ago to dedicate my life to Budo.
And yes, the average Japanese person is a lot taller and heavier than they were 50 years ago thanks to MCDonalds.
(It's nice to see Japanese girls with curvy thighs and c-cup breasts)
My wife is Japanese and she is 5'6" tall.
Her dad is taller than my dad.

Fart!!!!!!!;) :barf:  :D ;)

I'm down to a variation between 247 to 254, but at 5'7" I'm still pretty dayumed fat.:p :D
But that's down from 305 a few months ago. I'm still watchin what I eat and am holding my own pretty well and will head back on the diet when the fresh strawberries are in season once more.

Chopsticks?

Trust me, you metabolic rate will change, and you will be faced with a trauma of aging that few others will ever appreciate...especially those who gained weight all their lives. I believe they think of it as "revenge.":)

Another one like Chopsticks, I'm 41 years old, 6' tall, and 158 lbs. Gotta love that high metbolic rate. I eat whatever I want whenever I want. And add cayenne pepper to almost everything I eat.

Ah, so there IS hope!!!11 :D

I like spicy foods too. :p

Yep, I used to be 5'10&1/2" and 175 Lbs. Ate and drank anything I wanted and could dance my ass off all night long.:D
Then when I was 55 I got my back hurt at work. I had three back surgeries with the first one really messing me up.
The resulting disability and loss of activity and stamina, and other health issues induced by the disability, has taken its toll.
Enjoy life while you can there aren't any guarantees!!!!:D

If anyone wants to try a good weight loss plan, here it is:

First, spend all your money on kukris. This way, you'll be so broke you cannot afford groceries. Next, all you eat are triangle-shaped shipping cartons and Reno newspapers. They're rich in fiber and non-fattening.

I just bought another kukri, and expect to lose another 5 pounds this week.
:D :D :D

Danny .. at 5' 4" and 141 lbs am I a featherweight? Previously my weight was at range of 115 to 120 lbs only! Recently I noticed that surprisingly I put on more weight even though I take less food than before!

"workyerassoff" diet, which consists of 5 weeks of:

No sleep
60 Hr work weeks
1 child to raise
Strong coffee always in hand
Plenty of Camels
Water

You'll find that after a week, all food looks flat and unappealing, but so does everything else!

Not adivsed for those with hypertension or poor impulse control, only works for short periods, long periods will kill ya!

This is proof that there are unhealthy diets that will make you lose weight. Be advised that fasting changes ones metabolic rate, and you wil lose some muscle mass (as well as flab) with any diet that does not include exercise.

If I hafta do that diet again, I'd call it the "I'mtoooldferthisshit" diet.

Wow Danny! Much respect, man. Sounds like you are finding the Way!:)

Theres a pun in there fer all ye Japanese speakers.

Keith

Due, If I weren't a pentacostal I'd be the most well-laid man on earth. Japanese girls are love sick and japanese boys are semi-homo.

honestly though, I was being put on diets when I was in the third grade. I have never known what it felt like to be a normal weight.
A combination of genes and family habits pretty much condemned me to obesity since birth.
I havent even started talking about all the people who see a big guy and assume I am stupid.
(I have a 154 IQ)

Ah, planet earth.
