I'm asking my fellow forumites to send out prayers for a very close friend of mine who is having brain surgery tomorrow morning. My friend, Betty Dickens, has a brain aneurysm. This woman stood by me during the toughest years of my life. She has been like a second mother to me throughout my life. And when I say that, I really mean it. She took care of me as if I were one of her own for many years during my youth. Obviously God can't give us two mothers, but sometimes we create our own meaningful relationships. These relationships will positively alter our lives forevermore. Anyhow, that is who Betty Dickens is to me. She's my second mom. She's the most extraordinarily beautiful and selfless woman you could ever meet. I love her deeply. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers tonight and tomorrow. :(
 
I pray for the surgeon to have a steady hand and your friend a speedy recovery, Jennifer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone. I really appreciate the thoughts and prayers. I just got off the telephone with Betty. She spent the last half hour sharing her concerns about her sister who has cerebral palsy. Betty has been taking care of her on and off for most of her life. True to form, her concerns lie with everyone but herself. :(

The love she has shown for you is very evident in your character displayed on our forum. You are blessed ,being nurtured by two loving women. May God be with all of you & a prayer for successful surgery & recovery.
