Prayers for my father...

Drs think it is an heart attack, but when you said fever, my situation came to mind. Tremendous pain, some fever, they also ran in addition to a bunch of heart test. A gallbladder ultrasound. It came back normal. My family demanded the gall bladder "Function" test, much different. It came back with a 8% function. Anything under 50% will get it removed. No chest pains or problems since they ranked it out. I hope your father's situation is as simple as mine was.

Praying for you,
James

My father had a heart attack yesterday.

We thought it was angina but it seems to be more serious. he's either going to have some procedure done or bypass surgery depending on how damaged his heart is.

If you folks could save a prayer for him that would be great.

Thanks..

Pray dad is okay by now & has mamy more 'Blessed "days.

Uncle Alan:)

Thank you all so much.

It's been a very difficult time but things are looking up.

Despite his higher than normal temperature they decided to go ahead with the angiogram and then followed right up with an angioplasty.

Things went very well, he feels much better now aside from the persisting temperature. Actually, if things go well he could be home tomorrow early afternoon.

Thank you all again, it's meant a lot to me..

James Todd,
I'm glad your situation wasn;t more serious. Thanks for the info, I told my mother to ask the doctors. They made a full blood test that showed it was a heart attack though, back when he was admitted.

This is going to have to be a serious wake up call to lead a healthy lifestyle for my father, something I'm sure we can all stand to improve.

Oh BTW, to the fellow men on this forum...

Just so you know, the vast majority of the patients at the cardiac unit is made up of men. Mostly smokers, and overweight, circa 50 to 80.

It really is like a mens club over there.

Depressing.

Smoke sent; May you find peace and strength from within. They can do alot for heart patients these days, so your father has a stands a good chance for a full recovery.

been away, just saw this.

Of course he--(and you--) will be in our prayers.

Keep us informed.

Still thinking of your father.

Still sending up smoke and prayers.

Take it one day at a time.

Thanks everyone! It's been a very difficult time for my family but my father is home again resting and feeling quite good. He's very happy to be out, especially since for quite a while it wasn't looking too good.
His mother at 60 years of age died in the hospital after a heart attack and a mystery temperature.

It's certainly made me reevaluate what is important in life and I'm sure it has for my father as well.

My father is 57, and I'm 29 btw.

If personally I ever had a reason to stay fit and healthy...

He'll be in our thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself and your family.

Gary
