Xray showed no blood clots, thank goodness. She has bronchitis so they gave antibiotics and she is home now. Monday is chemo so we will see what the oncologist has to say. Thank you everyone!
SueZQ, wonderful news Lady!!! The biggest thing she will face now is the chemo. The after effects effect everyone and not all the sameway. I didn't feel like eating but I forced myself to eat even if it was just a little and I would eat many times in the coarse of a day. The Doc's will say the immediate effects might last 24-72 hours after a dose but again it not a standard. I for one felt the effects for 4-7 days after a does and had the dose was every 3-weeks. It's a roller coaster ride and everyone around her has to help but yet let her remain in control. It's one of those thing that impacts the mind and body. Chemo also effected my short term memory severely and once I realized this I started pulling my knives out, using my calipers and metal rules and started working calculations from imperial to metric, anything to keep my mind rolling. Even afterwords I still faught it for 2-years to regain mental abilities. Chemo is something a lot of people want talk about but I will. Anything to prolong the spirit and working to keep the body whole is pretty much what I try to do anymore. I would be willing to say that "thatmguy" can verify his experiences as well.
All the Best to Jessy and family. One of the bad side effects that goes un said and that is the family. Chemo doesn't just effect the person having it but the family members as well. They suffer emotionally, I know I watched my wife.
Feel free to contact me anytime Sue even if you just need an ear to bend.
We are with you Jessy, more than you know!!!
