Yours has the brass pins that really set rich tone for the overall look. A tiny bit of amonia on a Qtip and they will dazzle and shine.

oregon, might I ask exactly why you recomend amonia? I just got in a 422< with brass pins, and was wondering about this tidbit of info...is it safer for the plastic, or personal preference?

The key ingredient of Wright's Brass Polish is ammonia. It was recco to me by a walking talking genius from this very forum, I've used with great success, and it is not harsch to me or my brass target items. Ammonia is the waste product of some bacteria so similar to alcohol in that vane but don't drink it.

I can tell you the blade on mine is hard, but I sure wish now I had not sharpened it....oh well that was in a different age......300
