Pre Ats-34?

Well, my first real Moderator trick didn't work so effortlessly but I merged all the threads related to the flint looking pre Busse Combat blade for sale on ebay into this thread. A couple of the guys probably posted close together, but Raden came late to the party. I goofed and made a darned copy of his post, but it worked out OK. In the future let's try to make sure we don't cover the same ground. I was getting dizzy trying to remember which post had which info in it.

I was standing there when the owner walked up with the one on E-Bay, and Jerry authenticated it. Jerry also said that the rawhide wrapping at the blade/handle junction was an add-on and was not his work.

This is one of the very first steel bladed Busse Knives ever made. Gerry Busse, himself , authenticated this knife at the 2006 Blade show in Atlanta, GA.
I dont know if that doesnt seem odd to anyone else, but the seller wrote Gerry instead of Jerry. (Maybe a miss spelling, Lord knows in a horrable spller, I mean speler, I mean speller). Just thought I would bring froth this little detail.

Boy do I feel stupid not reading MikeH's post before my own, sorry just thought that the little detail was odd. My bad :foot:
