Thanks. I saw one at the antique mall, at the Carlinville exit, right off I-55. It was even bigger than the one I just got. Seemed like it needed a handle, but I can't remember now. Should have bought it.

We've had indoor/outdoor cats and it's always a worry though. Try to get them out in the morning so they're happy to come in for dinner. Then keep 'em in overnight.
Milo took a beating a week or two ago. Tangled with something fierce or hungry, but no permanent injuries. I only found out by discovering it was healing scabs that he was scratching at. We were hoping he'd grow another 5lb into a real bruiser, but no such luck.
 
I wouldn't be too worried about him if he had spent any time outside before. He's 5ish years old and never been out there and we have a lot of coyotes really close by.

Right now I'm more annoyed with these two dogs are watching. They are "inside" dogs, but sure don't have inside manners. I have four spots in my carpet where they pissed and both have crapped in here too. I told the gf that we won't be watching them again.

Yeah, probably the reason your cat decided to take a little vacation too.
I'd be rather upset myself.

We have four cats. Two of them are still freaked out and hiding under our bed. I had to put food, water, and a litter box in our bedroom cuz they won't leave it. Guess I don't blame them either. If I was a little cat and had a husky come after me I'd be under the bed too. They are fine with my dog, heck they curl up with her and sleep half the time.
 
Now when I need to go to a baptism I realize I don't have a dedicated dress knife. Buck 112 or case sodbuster jr. Tough choice. Sorry about the cat, wildcat. Hope it shows up.


EDIT: The bk13 seems like a good candidate. I might roll with that.

don't sweat it. You really only need a dress knife for a bris.

As I was looking around for the cat today I found a few different things. Its kinda amazing what you find when you actually look at stuff. I found one of my neighbors has two dead coyotes laying right by their front steps. Another person has a ledge on the side of their entrance and a hole in the wall so their cat can go in an out as it pleases. Someone finally flattened the tires on the idiot with the four wheeler that drives around with no exhaust at all hours of the day. One neighbor was so bored that he was plowing the snow out of his whole yard with his atv. Lastly, theres a buttload of black cats around here that aren't mine.

The fancy patinas dont last. As you use the knife it changes all the time. I just let them do their thing.
