Hello,

I have some question about the process and would appreciate any education.

I have learned from here that the right way to HT SS/high alloy steel is to ramp the kiln to pre-heat temp > put the blade in > wait till temperature return > equalize and then ramp to austenitizing.

The question are.

1. Would it has cause any problem if we put the blade in from the first place at room temperature and then ramp to pre-heat?

2. How importance of the temperature ramp speed. And what should be the proper period of time to ramp up from 1450F to 2150F for standard kiln?
