We're planning on going to Minnewaska tomorrow so we went to Campmor for a few supplies and then took a short walk around Lake Skannatati.

Richard got a backpack. He really seems to like wearing it. We think he somehow feels proud, like he's an adult now. And he looks downright handsome in it.

It didn't seem to slow him down or bother him in the least.

At the lake a family of geese came to hang out with us.

But the highlight of the day was that I just got my Spyderco Mule back from Greg at Lone Rider Custom Grips. He does really amazing work, can't recommend him highly enough:

That spydie is awesome! They did a great job!! Its almost too purty.....

Good lookin dog. I always liked the dog pack idea...make him carry his own food.

My buddies dog Jazz rolls with a vest when it's cold.

Beautiful job on the grips.

When Richard runs, doesn't it shake up the mix?

And, relevant to the 'where's your area' thread, wth is Minnewaska?

Theo, Richard looks great in a pack, and Greg's work looks amazing. I'm glad you hooked up with him.

The grips he did for me are beyond fantastic, and that Spydie handle looks flawless!

Minnewaska is about 90 miles Northwest of New York City. I've never been there but a fellow forumite Wintermute recommended it and it sounds very interesting, can't wait to see the ice caves

It is flawless and beautiful, I'm so happy with it. :D
