An early 2013 product announcement arrived in our inbox this morning. The brand new Benchmade 586 Mini Barrage should be hitting our shelves sometime in the second quarter! This Mini Barrage has the same features of the larger 581 Barrage in a scaled down version which makes it an ideal EDC. The black G10 handles scales, machined aluminum bolsters and M390 super steel blade provide for an upscale look and superior function. Now accepting pre-orders!

Hi redfeenix, the plain satin finish was the only variation in the Benchmade new product announcement so that is all we know of for now. If they go along with their usual production patterns, we should see more blade variations of this folder in the near future. We will be sure to update here as they pass along more info to us. Please let usk now if you have any further questions!
 
Ordered one yesterday. I deleted my previous post, oops, I'm new, I wasn't sure If I was supposed to reply on this thread, so I posted on a different one. I got my first Benchmade about 2 months - 581. My second about a week ago - 585BK...and Preordered a 586 yesterday - I cant wait.

Thanks for the reply, the Mini-Barrage is really close to my heart :). I'll keep an eye out, wouldn't have known about the 586 if it wasn't for you guys.

Thanks so much redfeenix! I have our sales rep on it, but it does look like they will be doing other variations :) I'm currently waiting for confirmation on pricing from Benchmade and then we'll post the pre-orders for those as well. I'll update you here when they go up. And I agree, the Mini Barrage is a wonderful model! Thank you againf or the support!

Hey buffettdog, I'm still learning the forum rules and whatnot and it's my job (hehe). We're pretty sure the 586 will be just as cool as the 581, just in smaller package for edc. Thank you for the support as well!

just saw they were in stock!!

I'm really liking these, but I think I'm going to hold out for the Black bladed version...benchmade has them listed on their site...

Pretty sweet knife in person, we should have the black bladed models sometime next week as they are already in shipment from Benchmade.
