Pre-orders! What are you waiting on?

I'm waiting on 4.7, 4.1, 3.5, 12, and think of adding a 10 but don't have the funds for it just yet...

Anybody want a gently used Swamp Rat HRLM, or a DMT Aligner Kit, or a Vic Farmer with pocket-clip-mod? And since Standard hasn't claimed it, I also have a FFG Delica in need of a good home... Oh, and anybody interested in a lower-ride option for the CPK Field Knife, I'm now including a new bridge with my UKE 2.0 that matches the spacing

I'll take a Low ride option on my cpk fk, can you send pics?

Me, myself and I :)

Well, I don't actually own an FK (too slow... and too poor with funds all tied up in S!K :p) but HK sent me the measurements (2" across as well as 2" down) and I built a bridge for mounting the UKE. Here are some rough shots using the 5.1 as a stand-in (sheath has spacing for 2" o.c. along the side, whereas the 4.7 does not).

Mount it low or high or midway between, mount it vertical or angled, and use it with the included belt-loop or the belt-clip or a tek-lok (large or small), or whatever. Anybody want to sen me their FK so i can take some better shots? Or just order one and try it out, and if you don't like it we'll work out a refund. And don't forget - works on EVERY model from S!K, old and new alike, as well as pretty much ever Azwelke and Mashed Cat and BuyBrown and ......

Regarding the FK: if you don't need the actual knife, I can send you the kydex sheath in which it came with in case you wish to make it as precise as you can? If so, just let me know :)

Nah, thanks anyway. While having the sheath would certainly confirm if I built correctly, it wouldn't allow me the pics people actually want - showing how the knife rides with the attachment in place, the lay of the handle, etc. I am fairly confident that it will work fine, but I want to be sure it works great, that it doesn't suck, y'know? For that, I need it mounted to a sheath + knife + user. In the UKE thread linked in my sig-line, you can see how many mounting variations I took photos of. I'd love to include some with the FK for a new UKE sale-thread, but without an FK *shrug*. Same goes for the Busse / SwampRat swords - the sheaths I've seen would accept a UKE but I've never owned one and no one has ever shared pics with me ;)

Fair enough Chiral. My CPK-FK is quite "sucky" and at the end it may just end up serving as a door stopper! However, to have a serviceable dangler in the interim which will not break the bank would be a nice thing in the interim till I decide as to what direction I'd like to go with the FK ;)

I have a 4.5BC on preorder. Thats currently it. Ide like to snag a 4.1 at some point but I went a little buck wild on folders while waiting for the S!Ks and now my shiny, sharp, and things that go boom funds are low!

Which have you been most impressed with so far PooN?

To be honest, I wasn't going to get the 5.1 (initially thinking i wouldn't like the choil), but while waiting for the 4.7 to become available I found a stellar deal so I scooped it up. It's the 20CV model (which was also not on my list since I love my original 3V 4.1) but now that I have it I am blown away by the ergos, the size/weight, the edge holding ability - pretty much everything. I think the 4.7 will fit exactly in the sweetspot I'm looking for, but as of now the 5.1 is by far my fav.

Currently have a 2.7, 3.5 and 10 on hand. I'm down to another 2.7 and 4.7 left on preorder.

I'll try to snag a new 3.5, 4.1, 4.5, 6, 8 and 10 on Monday sales (already greasing the keyboard), with the most anticipated being the 4.1, 6 and 10.

Right on!
I am looking forward to seeing the new 4.1's compared with the old with the slight mod to blade and handles.

And of course the 6 is second to none in terms of being excited to see how it turns out! Although we still have quite a wait for them.
Did you/will you pick 3V for all your knives or some in 20cv?

Hey Casino, i am not so good with internet sarcasm so i am still trying to figure out/want to know if you are genuingly not impressed with your FK or have you have fooled me with trickery :D?

Nice choice there!
It will be exciting to see how the 4.5 and 12 turn out considering they are both completely new models.

Which choppers of yours will the 12 be competing against?
It is hard to assume, but the 12 looks like it will very effective and beast of a chopper. Even the 10 is an effective chopper although it is not designated nor designed purely to be one. So i think the 12 is going to be better than expected.

It is always hard selling off knives no matter the reason.
I recently sold a ka bar tanto for the same reason, i did not find any use for it. It was to tactical like to be useful to me. That being said, it is never easy letting go haha.

I have a SYKCO 1311 that is an amazing chopper that is light for its size. And I have a couple of BB13's coming as well :D

I'll be looking forward to these comparisons bud. That BB13 was very tempting.

I think I'll make the break at the 4.1, so 4.1 and smaller in 20CV and then 4.7 and up in 3V. At least that's the plan :)

The new 7/7 looks like a beast! I dont know if the photos are deceiving but they look significantly larger than the older models. It will be interesting to see how they perform

My first survive I bought was a GSO 6 pre-order back in March before I knew what I was getting into, wait-wise. I was trying to be patient and not get anything else from Survive, but caved when the 4.1 preorders popped up the other day.

Since then, I found a 4.7 for a good price on FB and sprung on it. Figure I needed to see if I liked these knives as much as all of you guys do. Now I'm technically waiting for 3, haha!
