SOLD
This is a very nice example of a pre world war 2, Mid 1700’s to early 1800’s Japanese wakizashi.
Original fittings as far as known. Lightly worn scabbard, with included kogatana.
Blade is in excellent shape, with no nicks, and is very sharp. Hamoń line is present, although will need a brighter polish to bring it out stronger.
Fittings and guard are all in good shape, metal, overplayed with laquer as was period correct. Slight gold leaf detail left on Fuchi.
If you want more details please ask and I will do my best to answer. I’m not an expert, but I know a little.
Selling for $900. PayPal goods and services payment, i will cover shipping, insured, to your door.

I will respond to inquiries as best I can, I’m no expert. I purchased this piece from an antique gallery in London, England during my travels. It was a battlefield pickup, has been in private hands since. It is not signed, but it has been well taken care of and is in excellent shape, with quality craftsmanship. There are no nicks in the blade.
