I just finished this for my uncle who is a pastor. 1095 Steel, khaki MYcarta scales, .308 caliber shell casing for thong hole liner, rattle snake skin I killed while back.

Very nice. I did the icthus and cross file pattern a while back. Yours looks much better.

Good looking knife, your grind looks dead on, the handle comfortable to hold and use and the file work adds the icing to the cake. I don't know if I like the large 308 thong hole or not, but I do have access to plenty of 38 special empties, I will have to measure them and other spent cases to see what I like best, but that's a great idea to used fired cartriges as thong linner. You have given me an idea for a cartouch(spelling?), to de-arm a primmer and inset a fired hunting round in the handle so that just the head and stamp is visible.

Will,
I've seen that done and it really looks nice.

Clemson,
That is a great package! Love it all but especially the filework!
Nicely done!

Wow! That file work is awesome! Good idea using spent brass for thong holes.

Thanks guys, I hope he does like it. I started making knives this past september so he has no idea I can even make one. This is my 4th. I couldn't have even got started without this forum. I owe many thanks to all the guys on here who are so willing to share their knowledge--truly good people on here.
