Precipice interframe proto

Just to give some info, I have been a maker 26 years, ABS journeyman, not much of a publicity seeker, never took photos until lately. To answer some questions: yes, I am planning to make a non-inlayed version of this knife with a stonewashed blade. Yes, I plan to make a full-dress version of this knife (my damascus, ivory inlays). Yes, the clip design will probably be stolen. I am extremely new to the internet and digital photography so bear with my mistakes. As to being anonymous, I have been in Knives Illustrated, Blade, and the Knives annual, mostly with bowies. I have been a folder instructor at the ABS school. When I finished a knife back then, I needed the paycheck. I didn't have the time to send it to Jim Weyer for several weeks. And I couldn't wait to get to the next project. Lately, I have been working on three new locks (patent work). I hope I have answered all your questions. If not: elkinsknives@yahoo.com

Thanks for all the comments, guys!!

Well, I guess that pretty well clears that up.

BTW, nice knife!

Hi Van,

Really pleased to see your work here. I had to do an Annuals search of your first name because I'd rather talk on a first-name basis. (And that's what I mean by anonymous. By every measure I see you are hardly a newcomer!)

Besides the cool clip, I like how you handled the inlay on the backside as a stop to the lock tab. Nice!

The shape is stylish, the grind is near perfect, and the thumbstud grip is adventurous. All systems GO!

You have a lot to offer this community, and vice versa. Thanks for logging in.
