Predator movie - what is Billy's knife?

Remember Billy (native tracker dude) from the movie Predator? Remember his huge fixed blade?

What type of knife is that?

Do a search, this has been covered before, lots of good info. If I remember right it was made by Jack Crain.
 
Jack Crain also made the knives for Schwarzenegger in the movie Commando. The Jack Crain "Life Support" knives
 
my bad, had my arnie movie trivia confused, the LSS is the one from commando, must be a different model in predator!
 
I believe it's the same knives.... All the Life support models (Including the large machete) were in both movies.

Jack Crain made knife that Arnie used in the film Commando from the Life Support System (LS1). Jerry Ahern had his main character John Rourke use an LSX, a bladed version in his "Survivalist" novels. These both have saw teeth.

The machete that Billy used in the Predator, I believe was also from the Life Support System line..I have seen some marked as such and others that have not been. The actual knife that Arnie uses in Predator is a Multi Purpose Combat System (MCS) that is not part of the Life Support System line.

COnfusing enough for ya? In any event go to www.crainknives.com and check em out. Poor business practices aside..I have an LS1 (which I waited for over three years fo and had to nag the hell out of him for)..his knives are built like tanks and I don't think anyone could ever break one..seeing as how people like to drone on and on about the blade/handle weakness of hollow handled survival knives.
