I have 5 premium BIG blocks of African Blackwood available. This stuff is getting harder to find, especially in larger sizes, solid pieces and reasonable prices.
African Blackwood is excellent handle material. It is hard and VERY stable. It is the KING of woods for carving, texturing and checkering. Also looks super classy plain black.
These are high quality, nice big blocks. Solid with no visible defects at all. They have some very nice interesting grain and figure, banding, stripes a little bit of birdseye but they will finish pretty dark brown or black. This is the good stuff.
Pics show one side.....the backs look the same and will finish the same as the fronts.
