Premium box cutter blades?

Me too. I have one of those 100 packs of Lennox Gold that I've been working through for years now. They're pretty damned good.

I sharpen the blades on my favorite box cutter with a White Smiths Arkansas stone (1000 grit) and they last up to two weeks,or until I chip them badly

they get wicked sharp in 4/5 passes

I've been messing around with sharpening the carbide blades and so far the Spyderco brown pocket stone is working pretty well.
I keep the sharpened ones as a backup since I tend to use my boxcutter as an x-acto about as much as I cut boxes.
One thing to keep in mind; the blades are often a snug fit and sharpening will eventually make them wobble in certain types of box cutters unless you only shone side and let the other one be the hold.

thats cool that you can sharpen that fast. If i had a pocket norton stone with me when i was using the blade, then i could see how it could be faster to sharpen. But i consider the time it takes to get the stone and set it up too.

As do I. I keep my stone near the table where I typically am using my box cutter to open and break down boxes, so I just reach for it when I need it. No setting up. I'll be having some pocket stones in the same blend arriving soon, and I'll be using one of them for such purposes when I'm not in that particular location. :)

Tajima V-Rex II. The Lennox blades with the gold coating are good too.

You were so right about those. I bought a 5 pack and after being able to shave with one our of the pack, I was hooked.
I didn't actually shave with it but did make a nice bald spot on my hand.
Excellent blades and great for whittling too.
